The zone plan is a schematic overview (visualised in a drawing or otherwise) of how the departments, teams and projects are located in relation to each other. The zone plan is based on an agreed configuration prognosis and a relationship plan (which departments work with each other a lot and need to be located close to each other).
When opting for flexible working, the choice is generally ‘own area’ rather than ‘own desk.’ During the design phase, we perform space planning based on the zone plan. Here, we calculate in detail how much space the departments need and where they can be accommodated in the new work environment.
